1. Elephant Orphanage and Giraffe Center Day tour from Nairobi
By including all transportation and entrance fees, this guided tour of Nairobi wildlife makes it as easy as possible to see Kenya’s famous animals—without leaving the city. A guide takes you directly to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and the Giraffe Centre to learn about elephants and giraffes from trained staff working to conserve and protect these animals in the wild.
At the heart of the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust’s conservation activities the Orphans’ Project has successfully raised 320 baby elephants, 17 baby rhino’s and 56 babies born to wild living orphan elephants. The Orphans’ Project exists to offer hope for the future of Kenya’s threatened elephant and rhino populations
as they struggle against the threat of poaching for their ivory and horn, and the loss of habitat due to human population pressures and conflict, deforestation and drought.
You are welcome to adopt a baby elephant!
